Front of House (Bar and Restaurant)

Purpose:

At Thrill Factory, we strive to create an exciting and engaging space for families and communities to come together and make unforgettable memories. As a new business, our entertainment facility will offer a wide range of attractions including bowling, immersive escape rooms, laser tag, and mini golf. We also feature a full-service restaurant and themed bars—like our vibrant tiki bar—designed to provide guests with plenty of spaces to relax and enjoy.
We are all about creating fun and memorable experiences for families and guests of all ages. We’re looking for enthusiastic Front of House team members who are passionate about people, entertainment, and ensuring our center runs smoothly and successfully!

Basic Function:

Front of House team members will be key in providing friendly, efficient service to our guests. This includes welcoming guests, taking food and drink orders, and ensuring the overall environment is welcoming, well-organized, and fun.

Hosts:

  • Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
  • Manage the reservation system and waitlists, ensuring an organized flow of guests.
  • Provide information about menu options and special events.
  • Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues in a professional manner.
  • Professionally answers all incoming phone calls and takes reservations utilizing appropriate standardized phone etiquette and dialogue.
  • Performs basic transactions such as the sale of Gift Certificates and To-Go orders.


Servers:

  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and deliver them in a timely manner.
  • Provide detailed information about menu items and recommend selections based on guest preferences.
  • Ensure tables are set and cleared efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
  • Handle guest payments and ensure all transactions are processed correctly.
  • Requests proper identification from guests purchasing alcoholic beverages when legal age is questionable (under the age of 30).
  • Consults with management on questionable identification.
  • Provides positive guest recognition and relations through personal performance. ]
  • Maintains a positive work environment with all team members and fosters a team-oriented approach to accomplish tasks.


Bartenders:

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, beers, and non-alcoholic drinks, in our Tiki Bar and Pirate Bar.
  • Must possess a valid liquor license.
  • Create a vibrant and engaging atmosphere by dressing in themed costumes appropriate to the bars' themes, in compliance with our dress code.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at the bar area, including inventory management and waste control.
  • Provide excellent customer service, including handling drink orders, guest interactions, and resolving any issues.


Skills:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive guest experience.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle high-energy situations.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and ability to comply with health regulations.
  • Bartenders must have a valid liquor license and be able to manage a diverse range of drink orders.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Enthusiasm for themed environments and a willingness to dress in costumes related to the Tiki Bar and Pirate Bar themes, following dress code guidelines.
  • Comfortable with point-of-sale systems, scheduling software, and other operational technologies.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, often exceeding 4 hours per shift, and handle physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving objects weighing up to 50 lbs


Experience & Education:

  • Previous experience in food and beverage roles is preferred but not required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid liquor license for bartenders (training provided if needed). Back of House (Restaurant)

Purpose:

We are also looking for dedicated Back of House Team Members to join our kitchen team. These positions include Dishwashers, Prep Cooks, Line Cooks, Expo, and Bussers, all of whom play a vital role in ensuring that our restaurant operates efficiently and meets our high standards for food quality and presentation.

Basic Function: Back of House Team Members will be responsible for supporting the kitchen and dining services, ensuring that food is prepared, cooked, and served in a timely and organized manner.

Dishwashers:

  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area.
  • Assist with other cleaning tasks as needed to ensure a sanitary kitchen environment.
  • Regularly clean and sanitize dishwashing equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning and hygiene.
  • Monitor the supply of dishwashing detergents and sanitizers, and report any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Ensure that all cleaning supplies and chemicals are stored safely and used according to manufacturer instructions.
  • Work efficiently to ensure that dishes and kitchen equipment are cleaned and returned to use promptly, supporting smooth kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure that all dishwashing needs are met and that the flow of dishes is managed smoothly.
  • Prepare the dishwashing area for the next shift, ensuring that everything is ready for use.


Prep Cooks:

  • Prepare ingredients and assist with the assembly of dishes according to recipes and restaurant standards. '
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the prep area.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the prep area, ensuring all surfaces, equipment, and utensils are sanitized.
  • Stock and organize ingredients and supplies in the prep area, ensuring easy access and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain inventory levels and report shortages or equipment issues to the kitchen manager.
  • Work closely with line cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of dishes.
  • Follow instructions and recipes provided by the head chef or kitchen manager.
  • Assist with other kitchen tasks as needed, including cooking, plating, and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Support other kitchen staff during peak hours or when additional help is required.


Line Cooks:

  • Cook and prepare menu items to order, ensuring presentation and quality meet restaurant standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, ovens, fryers, and stovetops safely and efficiently.
  • Ensure all dishes are cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards.
  • Monitor ingredient levels and report shortages or issues to the kitchen manager.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of food items.
  • Ensure that all surfaces, equipment, and utensils are kept clean and sanitary.
  • Inspect and taste dishes to ensure they meet the restaurant’s quality standards before they are served.
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as needed, including prep work, plating, and supporting fellow team members during peak periods.


Expo:

  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared correctly and presented according to restaurant standards.
  • Address any discrepancies or issues with dishes before they leave the kitchen.
  • Act as the main point of contact between the kitchen and servers, relaying important information and updates about orders.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to prioritize and expedite orders during busy periods.
  • Maintain an orderly and efficient workspace to support a smooth operation.
  • Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Ensure that all food handling and safety procedures are adhered to throughout the shift.


Bussers:

  • Clear and reset tables quickly and efficiently to ensure a clean and welcoming dining area.
  • Assist servers with refilling drinks and delivering food to tables as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including floors and tables.
  • Replenish supplies such as napkins, condiments, and utensils as needed throughout the shift.
  • Organize and restock service areas to ensure they are ready for use by servers and guests.
  • Follow all restaurant policies and procedures, including those related to food safety, sanitation, and customer service.
  • Perform end-of-shift cleaning and organization tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring that all dining areas are properly cleaned and prepared for the next service.


Skills:

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

  • Ability to stand for long periods, often exceeding 4 hours per shift, and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Flexibility to adapt to different roles and tasks within the back-of-house team.


Experience:

  • Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred, but on-the-job training is available.
    Education/Training:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Food Certification (training provided if needed).
  • Background checks required for all candidates before finalizing employment.
